Student Community Fund
The Student Community Fund was established to support student-centered initiatives including the ongoing operation of Hisao & Hiroko Taki Plaza (External site) (Taki Plaza), an international exchange hub on Ookayama Campus.
We welcome gifts in any amount from those who understand the value and importance of support in a new study environment. Your contributions will help enhance the experience of students both on and off campus.
Use of Fund
- To enhance Science Tokyo's student-centered learning environment
- To nurture Taki Plaza Concierge who handle stakeholder relations as representatives of Science Tokyo
- To create an environment for student exchange activities throughout Science Tokyo
- To educate Teaching Assistants in languages and academic writing
Special Thanks
Nameplates of individuals who donate JPY500,000 or more and corporations that donate JPY1.5 million or more will be displayed on the donor recognition wall in Taki Plaza.
Individuals who donate JPY1 million or more and corporations that donate JPY3 million or more are entitled to add a personal message to their nameplate.
As a token of appreciation
All donors: You will receive an invitation to the Gathering of Gratitude event hosted by the president.
Individuals who donate JPY 300,000 (or corporations that donate JPY 1 million) or more will also receive a certificate of appreciation and a brick engraved with his/her name will be installed on campus.
Individuals who donate JPY 5 million (or corporations that donate JPY 10 million) or more will also be nominated for the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon.
Tax benefits
Japanese residents may be eligible for tax benefits. Consult your tax advisor for details.
Donations from U.S. residents to Science Tokyo Fund through Give2Asia qualify for tax benefits.
