Interview application

If you wish to interview the faculty, staff, or students of our university, please read and agree to the precautions before contacting the Public Relations Office via the interview application form.
The Public Relations Office will confirm the content and the intentions of the interviewees and get back to you.

If you wish to interview a specific faculty member, please specify the person. You can search for faculty members using the researcher search system: STAR Search (Science and Engineering) and the Research Information Database (Medical and Dental Sciences).

  • Please contact the Public Relations Office at least one week before the desired interview date.
    If it is urgent or if you do not receive a reply within three business days after sending, please contact the Public Relations Office in the General Affairs and Planning Department directly (Tel: 03-5734-2975).
    Please note that it may take some time to respond during weekends, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, and summer vacation periods.

Precautions regarding interviews

  • Please do not use the names of Science Tokyo University and its executives, faculty, staff, and students without permission for the purpose of promoting specific products or services.
  • Please ensure accurate reporting by verifying statements with the individual.
  • Once the interview schedule and publication/broadcast date are confirmed, please notify the Public Relations Office.
  • After publication/broadcast, please send a copy of the published material or video data (e.g., program DVD).
  • For patients or passersby unrelated to the interview, please take sufficient precautions to ensure that personal information and facial images cannot be identified.
  • If you plan to reuse interview footage or audio, please consult the Public Relations Office.
  • For interviews related to our university's academic research and medical activities, please respect the academic views of our faculty and staff.
  • Long interviews may need to be shortened.
  • Filming on our campus is generally only conducted for matters related to our research, education, and medical activities. Especially, we do not allow filming that represents our university as another facility for print, programs, or commercials. Thank you for your understanding.

Regarding hospital interviews

  1. We do not provide any information about patients.
  2. Interviews and filming of patients are not permitted.
  3. Interviews are generally only conducted on weekdays.
  4. The following types of interviews are generally not accepted:
    • Those unrelated to general medical and healthcare knowledge associated with our hospital.
    • Those using medical equipment for non-medical purposes;
    • Those that may damage the trust and dignity of the medical institution.
    • Those that may invade the privacy or have a psychological impact on patients and other visitors,
    • Provision of the location for movies, dramas, etc.
