Science Tokyo (hereafter referred to as "the university") sets forth the following guidelines for using official social media accounts to disseminate information.
Purpose of using social media
Various social media platforms like Facebook, X, and Instagram possess unique characteristics such as diffusion, immediacy, and interactivity, different from the university's official website. By effectively utilizing these characteristics, we can disseminate the university's educational and research activities widely and effectively to society. The university utilizes various social media platforms to enhance information dissemination.

About replies and comments
Replies to and comments on "statements and posts by the university's official accounts" will only be made when deemed necessary by the operations manager. In principle, we do not reply to questions unrelated to statements and posts by the university's accounts or questions received via direct messages.
Additionally, comments deemed inappropriate may be deleted without the user's consent.

Actions on social media policies
Actions such as "likes," "shares," and "follows" from the university's official accounts are, in principle, not performed on entities other than public institutions, educational institutions, and internal organizations, but these functions may be used as necessary. However, actions toward specific accounts do not imply the university's endorsement.
Use in emergencies such as disasters
In emergencies such as disasters, social media services may be used for official announcements by the university, depending on the situation of the university's web environment.
