Engaging with local communities

We undertake a wide range of initiatives, including community development, environmental protection, and educational support.

Collaboration activities with municipalities

We actively address local issues in collaboration with municipalities and other organizations.

School festivals

The school festivals are held as the "Koudaisai" at Ookayama campus and the "Ochanomizusai" at Yushima campus.

Koudaisai

The school festival at Ookayama campus is held as the "Koudaisai" every autumn (around October). During the Koudaisai, students handle everything from planning to operation. In addition to food stalls run by circles and volunteer groups, various student-led projects, such as exhibitions, performances, and concerts, enrich the festival. Mock classes and laboratory tours are also held, allowing you to see the normally inaccessible inside of research laboratories and the results achieved through their research.

Ochanomizusai

The school festival at Yushima campus is held as the "Ochanomizusai" for two days in mid-October at Yushima campus. During the Ochanomizusai, the traditional food stalls line up, and volunteers provide exhibitions, performances, and concerts. Additionally, various events, including a day-and-night festival featuring comedians, are held. Unique to the medical field, there are public mock classes by professors and consultation sessions for prospective students by current students, making it a beneficial event for those considering applying to the Institute.
