Scholarship Fund
The Scholarship Fund is a restricted fund established to support students facing financial difficulties. Your donation to the Scholarship Fund will help motivated and competent students receive the education they seek.

Use of donations
Donations to the Scholarship Fund are used to fund the following support measures for students facing financial difficulties:
- Tuition and admission fee exemptions
- Scholarship programs
- Aid for study abroad expenses
- Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant allowances
- Projects that provide reasonable accommodation to students with disabilities
Tax benefits
For domestic donors, The Scholarship Fund is a restricted fund eligible for the tax credit system introduced as part of the fiscal year 2020 tax reforms. Tax credit systems allow a certain percentage of an individual's donation to be deducted directly from their income tax amounts. Donors can deduct an amount calculated based on the size of their donation directly from their income taxes, so the donations to this fund provide a highly effective tax reduction regardless of your income or the size of your donation.
For more information, please see the Tax benefits page.
As a token of appreciation
All donors will receive an invitation to the Gathering of Gratitude event hosted by the president and CEO of Science Tokyo.
Individuals who donate JPY 300,000 (or corporations that donate JPY 1 million) or more will also receive a certificate of appreciation (first-time, one-time donors), and a plate engraved with their name will be installed on campus.
Individuals who donate JPY 5 million (or corporations that donate JPY 10 million) or more will also be nominated for the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon.
