Overview of Science Tokyo Fund

Greetings from the president and CEO

We ask for your kind support

My name is Naoto Ohtake, and I am the president and chief executive officer of Institute of Science Tokyo (Science Tokyo), which was newly established in October 2024. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the kind support and cooperation given by so many people concerning the founding of the Institute.

Science Tokyo was established with the goal of contributing to society by cultivating professionals who will play a leading role in cutting-edge science and technology based on practical science-based studies. This approach is a characteristic that ran through both the former Tokyo Medical and Dental University and the former Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Advancing science and human wellbeing to create value for and with society

Our aim is to nurture future leaders of society through innovative research and education. We also aim to build an institution full of vitality and goodwill to take on the challenges of creating new academic disciplines and industries, as well as solving societal issues such as pandemics and carbon neutrality.

However, as Science Tokyo’s activities require considerable resources, your support is essential.

For this reason, we have decided to set up the Science Tokyo Fund. Its aim is to support the Institute’s educational and research activities, cultivate professionals who will lead the future of science and technology, and strengthen activities that create impact in society.

We thank you in advance for your support for the Science Tokyo Fund and Science Tokyo.
