In collaboration with the Itochu Techno-Solutions Future Foundation, the Institute has installed a calm-down space for students on the first floor of the 80th Anniversary Hall on Ookayama Campus. This space, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is designed to help students settle their minds, compose their feelings, and give their bodies some rest.

Campus life can present situations where various environmental stimuli such as classroom and campus noise, visual information, and the bustle of crowds can cause anxiety or sensory overload. The calm-down space functions as a safe zone where any student can temporarily step away from such stimuli, shift their mindset, or simply recharge before or after a lecture or other activity.

Science Tokyo is committed to fostering an environment where all students can study with peace of mind. Need a break? Try out the new calm-down space on Ookayama Campus.
