Distinguished Research Professor Morio and Professor Osakabe Named 2025 Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers

On 12 November 2025, Clarivate announced this year's list of Highly Cited Researchers, including Distinguished Research Professor Tomohiro Morio of Advanced Research Initiative and Professor Yuriko Osakabe of School of Life Science and Technology, Department of Life Science and Technology. Professor Morio has been selected for three consecutive years, and Professor Osakabe for four.

The Highly Cited Researchers is a list compiled by Clarivate, recognizing authors of the most frequently cited papers worldwide in each research field. Researchers whose papers rank in the top 1% by citations in the fields of natural sciences, social sciences, and cross-field are selected. This year, 7,131 researchers from 60 countries and regions were selected. including 88 researchers primarily affiliated with Japanese institutions.
