Join Nikkei Group’s free webinar “WHY DO WE STILL NEED TO READ THE NEWS IN THE AGE OF AI?” featuring Katsuhiko Hara, deputy publisher of Nikkei Asia. The session will be conducted in Japanese only and is open to all students, faculty, and staff interested in the topic.

With the rapid advancement of generative AI, information is now available instantly at our fingertips. At the same time, the ability to evaluate the credibility of information and to understand what is happening in the world has become more important than ever.

Why do we still need to read news in the age of AI? And what kind of information-gathering habits should we develop to thrive in an increasingly global society?

In this webinar, Katsuhiko Hara, deputy publisher of Nikkei Asia, will explore the theme “Why read the media in the age of AI?” He will discuss how to engage critically with information and how to identify trustworthy news sources in a world increasingly shaped by AI-generated content.
