Vice-Rector for Translation and Transfer at RWTH Aachen University in Germany, visits Science Tokyo
On March 4, Prof. Matthias Wessling, Vice-Rector for Translation and Transfer at RWTH Aachen University in Germany―one of Science Tokyo’s strategic partner institutions―visited Science Tokyo.
President and Chief Executive Officer Naoto Ohtake and Executive Vice President for Global Affairs Jun-ichi Takada welcomed Prof. Wessling, and the representatives from both institutions engaged in discussions on strengthening collaboration between Science Tokyo’s Visionary Initiatives (VI) and RWTH Aachen’s Profile Areas. They also reviewed past achievements in researcher exchanges and research support, and explored opportunities to further deepen their institutional network.
On the previous day, March 3, Prof. Wessling met with Executive Vice President for Strategic Planning Tetsushi Furukawa and Vice President for Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration Yoichi Oshima for an exchange of views on technology transfer and collaboration with industry.
Additionally, on March 6, Prof. Wessling delivered a lecture at the Suzukakedai Campus (to be renamed the Yokohama Campus in April).
