Vision Matching 2026 Held and Vision Co-Creation Awards Presented to 7 Early-Career Faculty Members and 11 Graduate Students
Vision Matching 2026, a matching event connecting faculty members and graduate students involved in the Innovative-Life Society Visionary Initiative with organizations participating in the Super Smart Society Promotion Consortium, was held on June 3, 2026, at Science Tokyo Front. At the event, early-career faculty members and graduate students from the university interacted with consortium member organizations through approximately 100 poster presentations. By sharing and resonating with each other's needs and seeds, participants explored opportunities for vision-driven co-creation and established new connections with potential collaborative partners. Approximately 200 participants, including representatives from 30 consortium member organizations listed below, attended the event. Lively discussions took place throughout the venue, resulting in approximately 90 matches, including agreements to pursue future collaborative research and partnership discussions. The event thus provided a valuable opportunity to advance the realization of the Innovative-Life Society vision.
In addition, the event recognized research projects with strong potential for industry–government–academia collaboration based on evaluations conducted by consortium member organizations, and the Vision Co-Creation Awards were presented. The seven early-career faculty members selected for the Vision Co-Creation Initiative Award and the eleven graduate students selected for the Vision Co-Creation Encouragement Award are listed below. Award recipients will receive research funding supported by the University for International Research Excellence, which will help promote their efforts toward industry–government–academia co-creation and collaboration.
