Rector of Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University, Türkiye, visits Science Tokyo
On June 9, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Verşan Kök, Rector of Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University in Türkiye visited Science Tokyo. They were welcomed by President and CEO Naoto Ohtake, Executive Vice Presidents for Global Affairs Tomohiro Morio and Jun-ichi Takada, Professor Emeritus Hiroaki Yamanaka, Professor Masashi Matsuoka from School of Environment and Society, and Associate Professor Masaki Matsushima from School of Science.
During the meeting, the education and research framework of Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University was introduced, and they discussed the ways to further strengthen future collaboration between the two institutions.
Science Tokyo has been involved in the establishment of the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University. There is active bilateral exchange, primarily among faculty members from the School of Environment and Society, Department of Architecture and Building Engineering and Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and the School of Science, Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences. As part of this visit, Science Tokyo and Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University held a ceremony to conclude a new Institutional-Level Agreement, reaffirming their commitment to deepening bilateral collaboration.
This visit and the conclusion of our Institutional-Level Agreement represent an important first step toward a new phase in the partnership between the two universities. Both institutions agreed to further strengthen our partnership in both education and research, striving for deeper academic cooperation.
