Delegation from Public Service Commission, Singapore visits Science Tokyo
On November 7, a delegation of 11 members led by Mr. Lee Tzu Yang, Chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC) of Singapore, visited Science Tokyo. Executive Vice President for Global Affairs Jun-ichi Takada welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of Science Tokyo’s Visionary Initiatives (VI) and efforts to strengthen Industry collaborations. The delegation introduced the commission’s core mission of developing public service talent, emphasizing their focus on STEM fields for overseas study programs. In response, EVP Takada and colleagues presented Science Tokyo’s graduate-level International Graduate Program (IGP) and undergraduate-level Global Scientists and Engineers Program (GSEP), highlighting their features for international students. Both sides engaged in a lively exchange of views on approaches to talent development and the potential for future acceptance of government-sponsored international students. The visit also included a laboratory tour.
