Leaders from Prominent African Universities Visit Science Tokyo

On August 20, a delegation of 11 presidents, vice presidents and officials from African universities (as listed below) visited Science Tokyo, hosted by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). They held discussions with Vice President for International Strategy and Engagement Nobuhiro Hayashi, Associate Dean for School of Engineering Hidenori Kosaka, Associate Dean for School of Environment and Society Naoki Kagi, Professor Tomoko Ishino from Department of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine, and Junior Associate Professor Naoaki Shinzawa from Department of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine.
After the discussion with faculty, the delegation exchanged views with our international students from Africa. The students shared their experiences living in Japan.
Lastly, the delegation visited Earth-Life Science Institute (ELSI) under the guidance of Principal Investigator, Associate Professor Kosuke Fujishima and Administrative Director, Specially Appointed Professor Naohiro Yoshida.
