Based on the World University Rankings 2026 released by the UK-based education publication Times Higher Education (THE) on October 14, 2025, Science Tokyo was initially ranked 301–350th in the world and tied for 6th in Japan.
However, after THE re-examined the indicator data used to calculate the rankings, the Institute’s position was revised to 166th in the world and 5th in Japan on November 14.
In line with its mission of “advancing science and human wellbeing to create value for and with society,” Science Tokyo will continue to enhance the quality of its educational and research activities and contribute to the international academic community.
