Yasuhisa FUJII
Executive Vice President for Hospital Administration and Chief Medical Officer
Yasuhisa Fujii has been executive vice president for hospital administration and chief medical officer at Institute of Science Tokyo (Science Tokyo) since 2026. He also serves as professor and chairperson of the Department of Urology.
His clinical and research work focuses on urologic oncology, specifically organ-preserving treatments and imaging. He has authored approximately 500 peer-reviewed articles.
Fujii earned his MD and PhD from Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU). From 1999 to 2001, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Louisville. After returning to TMDU’s Medical Hospital in 2001, he held positions as assistant professor, junior associate professor, and associate professor, before being appointed professor at the Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences in 2016.
He served as deputy director of TMDU Hospital from 2019 to 2023, and subsequently held the roles of director of the hospital and deputy director of hospital administration until 2026.
