Research Infrastructure Management Center aims to enhance the institute’s research foundations, and recruit, develop and apply talent who use the foundations to promote research to enhance the institute’s research capabilities.
Key missions include:

  • Planning and execution of strategic procurement of research equipment and facilities, and research foundations pivoting around research facilities
  • Provision of technologies and knowledge utilizing the research foundations
  • Management of the research foundations, and promoting their use including shared use
  • Recruitment and development of talent who will organize and utilize the research foundations, and promoting various career plans
  • Providing support for life-science research ethics education and experiment plan auditing

The center has two offices; the Research Infrastructure Strategy Office and the TC College Promotion Office, and five centers; the Core Facility Center, the Bioscience Center, the Research Support Center for Low-Temperature Science, the Bioresource Research Support Center and the Life Science and Bioethics Center, to provide support to research across the institute.

    The office is responsible for planning strategic organizing of research equipment and facilities in the institute, and for coordinate plans and sharing information within the office.
  • TC College Promotion Office
    The office promotes all-Japan TC College projects to develop advanced technology personnel, and provides training and other support for engineers to improve their skills and careers.

  • Core Facility Center
    As a core facility aggregating technical employees with diverse technologies, knowledge and know-how, the center promotes joint use of facilities with internal and external researchers and associates, and conducts activity such as providing support for student education.

  • Bioscience Center
    The center promotes bioscience research through sharing of the most advanced research equipment and by providing technological and other support, to support new fused research in bioscience and relevant fields. The center also contributes to the maintenance and enhancement of bioscience safety control structures.
  • Research Support Center for Low-Temperature Science
    The center provides freezing mixtures such as liquid helium across the institute, provides support for education and research on low temperature, and provides opportunities of joint research.

  • Bioresource Research Support Center
    The center provides education, conducts research and provides research support to contribute to the development of individualized medicine at the institute, as well as promotes the research and development of industry-academia-collaborated medical innovations.

  • Life Science and Bioethics Center
    The center is establishing domestic and overseas research support networks to promote education and advanced research on medical ethics, research ethics and bioethics at the institute, and launches academic research on various issues concerning medical and dental research and bioethics.
