An arena of learning, research and creation

Serving as the institute-wide foundation to support the institute’s educational and research activities, the institute libraries provide an arena that preserves and creates knowledge, and collects, manages and provides knowledge and academic information needed to promote the creation and release of new knowledge in future generations.
Science Tokyo operates the Ookayama Library, the Ochanomizu Library, the Kounodai Library and the Suzukakedai Library. These institute libraries provide in collaboration academic information in forms such as books, magazines, electronic journals and books, and databases and manage a book search system and relevant mission-critical systems.
At the same time the libraries also provide support to open science to facilitate the public’s wide and easy access to the research results the institute releases as well as provide support for research data management.
